Jun 03, 2015 · In reporting that story, I also heard a ton of complaints from the disabled community about the RIDE. The problem is, despite apparently providing very poor service to its users, the RIDE is incredibly expensive to operate on a per-rider basis when compared to the T's subway lines. So it's under constant political pressure to cut costs.
