Hello, I rented from travelcell back in 2002 and service was fine -- but since I tend to travel internationally at least once a year, I found it a much better deal to buy (as has been suggested) an unlocked tri-band GSM phone on e-bay.

Horrible company with horrible staff. Our tour guide was quite unhelpful and seemed to be put-out by any questions we had. The guide was really unflexible with times and rude when the group asked if it was possible to move time (for example one day we ate lunch a 4 and dinner was booked for 8!).

Anytime a company inserts this many hurdles between customer need and the actual solution, whether it be on the website interface or through the call system, the scam factor increases 100-fold.
