Mar 20, 2018 · The My Book 2TB external drive is backing up (it appears) with both WD Backup and WD SmartWare. Is this something often seen? The volume of data being backed up is resulting in full scan applications running laboriously slow. I’m reasonably sure I only need to be backing up with one application and into one place on the external drive. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

It is possible to not load the WD Smartware but you need to read the user manual first to realize this.
