Jun 03, 2012 · Starwood ownership is a complete ripoff. It is true that the Westin brand lured me into this deal, along with a slick sales pitch. I bought a week in two units of the Westin Kaanapali North, and the fees were $1700 per unit at the beginning of my ownership. Now they are about $3,800 per unit.
