2000 Volvo S40 A 4dr Sdn I have had this car, which I bought new, for more than 19 years with minimum problems. It still runs very well. The only small problem I have had is that the trim around the door deteriorated over the years and the salespeople at the dealer never offered a solution when I took my car in for other issues.

I own a 2000 Volvo S40. We just had our fifth trip to the dealer to correct knocking noise/rattle in the front suspension. Problem started at 44,191 miles. Now at 59,800. Two sets of control arm bushings and two sets of sway bar bushings replaced. Noise returns within 2000 mi of service. Also, I have had the rear brakes go out at 17,500 miles.4.8/10

2010 Volvo S40 Base I love my Volvo. It makes me feel so safe and has so many airbags. I love that for me, there is no blind spot. It drives smoothly and I have never had any problems with it except for regular maintenance. The trunk is a little small for us, but we have made it work.
