This is my 5th Maxima, and have to say it is my last. The son of a woman I used to work with had the same problem with his 2004 Maxima, which he bought used. He traded it for something else. My 2004 Nissan Maxima shuts down while running, causing the transmission to default into 5th gear, (2-4 gears effectively disappear) and the all electricity, radio, A/C, and power steering to shut down. On straight highways one can keep driving by shifting into neutral immediately, and trying to restart the engine with the key.10/10

2004 Nissan Maxima This car is fantastic, owned it for 2 years now and put 35k on it. I lowered it and added some power modifications and this thing is quick. Has issues with burning oil so check it every week or so just to be sure. Great looking car and so much power and luxury for the money.
