2009 Volkswagen Jetta My VW Jetta has been a reliable, if expensive repair-wise, vehicle. I like the tight steering and clutch performance. At 100,000 + miles both continue to perform well. The ride is comfortable with the road and engine noise fairly well muted. Gas mileage has never approached the projected 29 MPG.

October 5, 2009 Description of the Complaint: The contact owns a 2009 volkswagen jetta. While driving 70 mph using the cruise control, she began tapping on the steering and suddenly the driver side air bag deployed. She crashed after the air bag deployed; however, she has no memory of the crash. She did not sustain any injuries.

The repair is very costly (4-5 hours of labor plus parts). A class-action lawsuit is currently underway for this same defect for many Volkswagen cars up to 2009 but the same defect persist in 2009 and newer Jetta sedans and sportwagens with sunroofs. I urge the ntsa to investigate this safety hazard on affected VW vehicles from 2009-2012.

2009 VW Jetta purchased in St. Paul, mn, on April 11, 2018. Mileage was 130,225. Mileage is currently 131,600. The ABS system failed on August 17, 2018 - multiple control panel lights were activated and still remain activated. There has been a recall on the ABS control module software ¿ VW code 45F2.10/10

2009 Volkswagen Jetta SE Sedan I love it because it is a cute car and it is short, so I can parallel park it easily (I live in a big city). The interior - everything is in the right place, and the steering wheel and pedal placements are perfect (I am sort, so it is hard to find cars that can accommodate my lack of height).

Pros: I love my 2009 Jetta. I plan to upgrate to a 2014 Jetta otherwise i would not sell. The front heated seats are awesome! It drives AMAZING, the blue tooth is easy to use and super convenient.
