Abebooks simply facilitates transactions between people-who-need-books and people-who-have-books, they don't stock anything themselves. Most of the purchases I have made their have been for textbooks, because you can get the "International" version which may cost as little as $20 compared to $100+, and it is the same damn book.

Abe Books has a wide selection of books from rare ones to gently used common ones. The prices are unbeatable and the dealers are easy to work with. Once the book wasn't in the condition the seller said it was in and they refunded me the money with out having to mail back the damaged book. Misadvertising by AbeBooks & J's Lair Bookseller. I purchased a trilogy of Dungeons and Dragons Core Rule Books Giftset from an AbeBooks Bookseller (J's Lair) on the 14th Dec 2019, and paid a higher delivery charge to receive the books within 2-5 business days to receive them before Xmas as they were the our son's main Xmas present.

As for AbeBooks itself, I have no complaints. I've bought many books from them, at excellent prices, and they helped me get a refund from the above-mentioned Irish Booksellers. Support AbeBooks, but avoid Irish Booksellers.
