I gave a 90 day notice in order not to pay the penalties. SA homeloans try to get the cancellation fees for almost a month now. First I had to FICA but ABSA only tell that to SA homeloans almost at the end of the 90days and now after the FICA they are still not releasing the cancellation fees. ABSA is not a good bank to be with anymore.

I was told it takes 3-5 working days to get one. Mean while I received tax certificates from: FNB, INVESTEC & NEDBANK for my other home loans while waiting on the phone via email. This is really a bad service from ABSA home loans given that their peers can do it so quickly. I want to move the home loan to somewhere else.
