Oct 24, 2018 · I completely agree with all of the complaints I've read. The Americast product is totally bogus in its claims. American Standard is the epitome of the American company being run by charlatans. They lie about the quality of Americast and when you try to get customer service to stand by the warranty, you get nothing but bull hockey.

Mar 31, 2017 · My contractor recommended I go with an Americast tub. My sink and toilet will be Kohler. I like their Whites (brighter than American Standard) and think Kohler has great products, but now I am hitting a wall when it comes to tubs! I am getting mixed reviews online between American Standard's Americast tubs.....they are called Americrap!!

Feb 14, 2006 · The Americast gelcoat seems to be more prone to chips and scratches than the hard high temperature ceramic coating on cast iron tubs. Nov 06, 2015 · The Lowes website shows an American Standard bathtub made out of "Americast". The description says "Durable Americast® material with glossy porcelain finish".
