I live in a small rural community in NSW and have done so for nearly 2 years after purchasing an old school for retirement living. My wife went to work part time for the Australia Post Contractor servicing the area and during her training phase was instructed to not speak in general with several families within the community - as the contractor has personal issues with them.

joined this group a couple of weeks ago and have just been looking....it seems Aust Post needs to employ peeps who can READ, My gripe is - 10 years ago Housos built a little area for 'older peeps' fair enough - but they named one of the streets as a Road whilst also having a Place a bit further down the track.

I buy quite a few things online and they come in parcels to my house, but the thing is that my house is surrounded by a 2 metre high wall and with no windows or openings except a door with a mail box in it which isnt connected to the house itself but only the garden.

Also we have a new contractor that has been to our house to deliver parcels and all 3-4 times I have not been home but my almost 16 year old son has been home and has answered the door only to be told he won’t leave the parcel with him and leaves a card so I have to go to the post office and collect it.
