I tried to research law regarding when can a bank access overdraft fees. I could not find any law stating a bank could charge overdraft fees when the funds were in your account. Mar 31, 2016 · I just absolutely have to comment. In the last 45 days Bank of America has charged 36 overdraft fees totaling $1,275.00 in overdraft charges. Keep in mind, my wife made a transfer to “catch up” our account from another BofA account with over $10,000 in it. Literally paperwork (not even that anymore) to charge $35 per incident.
