This couch had mixed reviews. My wife found it on her endevor to find a decent couch for a reasonable cost. She said this was the one. Yes the feet need to be drilled in place (good luck trying by hand) to prevent wood from spliting use dish soap on the screws threads. It is a very solid and quality couch and exceeded my expectations. ()
