Since I kept getting 'Upgrade to Windows 10' message, I finally decided to upgrade in the year end - BIG MISTAKE. First of all, the upgrade process didn't indicate at which point user could login and start using the new OS.

Sep 07, 2008 · No. I started running it when it was released, and it was admittedly buggy at that point. However, it's become much more stable over time. The biggest issues are that many people don't want to learn the new interface, and that it requires good hardware. I'm running Vista Ultimate on a quad core with 4GB of RAM and have no complaints.

My biggest complaint with Vista so far is that all my apps that used prior mixer API calls pretty much have to be changed using the new Vista Core Audio API. Problem is that on Vista, the mixer is virtualized and only controls the volume of audio rendered by the application.
