Feb 24, 2020 · I had been(!) using booking.com for years and during this time I felt comfortable about giving my credit card details to them. However, I realized that this was a big mistake because I understand that they just pass your credit card details to the hotel and feel no responsibility about it, they dont care if the hotel overcharges you or even charges you for nothing as in my case .

Actually Slashoc we were unable to stay in the hotel due to the ceiling falling in on us. My complaint with Booking.com is that it did not back us up - and took no responsibility for our care, despite the fact that the room was booked through them. I suggest you save your sarcasm for when you know the facts!
