Jan 13, 2009 · I think you're worrying prematurely. You haven't even gotten the settlement offer, and as you say, the appraiser was honest. Why get yourself all wound up? In my experience, CCC has come up with fair valuations about 50% of the time (including a couple of times when their valuation was 20-25% over what I would have settled for).
