On August 6, 2011, our account was charged $401.74 by DirecTV. Upon calling DirecTV, they claimed that our equipment was never returned and they refused to refund our account or try to locate the returned equipment. The fact that they occasionally offer the subscription channels like HBO, Showtime, Starz, etc for free during brief periods should be enough to encourage current subscribers to add the channels to their list. Mar 21, 2011 · I am so angry about this, because my Directv service was disconnected on Thursday, March 10, 2011 and and I paid the past due amount to have my service reinstated on Monday, March 14, 2011. Today I received the collection notice from Collectech Systems dated Tuesday, March 15, 2011 demanding the past due payment that was already paid.
