We purchased durastone flooring after being assured the flooring was "virtually indestructible". My husband and I are the only 2 people living in my home and the floor was so disgusting within a couple years that I purchased runners and area rugs 2 try to cover all the scratches, chips etc. another issue with the flooring is it cannot withstand normal sun exposure.

Jan 04, 2012 · Congoleum does not back up their product and what good is a floor if you can't walk on it? I had a regular vinyl floor down for 20 years and had no issue at all. I just wanted to update the kitchen. This was quite expensive and I wish I had done regular ceramic. I will never buy from Mohawk/Congoleum EVER again.

compounds are not recommended.This is what I found on the Duraceramic installation instructions. Yes, cover the screw heads, or you'll get lots of little "X"s in your tile. I would think "Rock-hard" wood putty would work, too. Spread it across your plywood seams, let set, then sand smooth. I would check with Congoleum first, though.
