13 rows · COURT FEES DETAILS . COURT FEES. In the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, as initially enacted by the legislature, there was no provision for any court fee/fees. But experience has shown that undue advantage of the above provision was being taken by some persons, by filing frivolous complaints.
The above court fee is to be deposited at the time of filing the Complaint . The payment should be through a Nationalised Bank Demand Draft duly crossed, drawn in favour of "President, Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, (district name)".
The court fee is Rs 5,000 and the demand draft should be in the name of The Registrar, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. There is no fee for filing an appeal before the state or national commission. You can appeal against the orders of the national commission in the Supreme Court within a period of 30 days.
