I I am aware that all there leather furniture is made in China , and a few years ago there were lots of complaints about this problem and if turned out to be the little bags they put inside the furniture filled with a chemical to prevent the leather from getting mould and damp. May 31, 2018 · A technician has been to view it, did not even bother sitting on the sofa, and just responded that according to his notes, it is fine because it is a soft filling. Sofology has advised us to "dress" the leather after sitting on it, and that they are closing the ticket as the technician says it is fine.

All I know is, that our local Dermatology Department at the local hospital were asking people to contact them if they had suffered any skin complaints since they had brought a sofa from DFS. DFS aren't going to openly admit there is a problem with one of their sofas. Give your local Derm Dept a call.

Feb 02, 2010 · I got a DFS leather sofa about 5 years ago and I notice that it sags a lot more and is not so comfortable as when I first got it. I also got a latex foam matress about the same time and it has not sagged or lost any of it's original firmness, so I would have thought the answer is to fill the cushions with latex foam rather than hollow fibre.
