The DVR itself seems to work fine, the only complaint I have about it is the OTA Tuner that I had purchased for it (the OTA Tuner is NOT supplied with the Dish 722 model) from Amazon, is an inferior product compared with the OTA Tuner that came with my Dish model 622 DVR.4.1/5(72)

The DVR software - reportedly Linux-based - only MOVEs files from the DVR to the USB drive & back. I won't simply create a copy of the file.

i have been complaining to dishnetwork because of the quality of there dvr 722. it is crap. timers that stop working when they want to, you have to out and rebuild it. the timers are set to 0 before and 0 after so each recorded even should be, 30, 60, 90, 120 ect. the maching stops recording when the timer for non activity is set to work. when using dish pass and you record a 1 hour show it ...
