Sep 24, 2007 · It looks like DH and I are getting closer to a move to Charlotte. Can anyone tell me if Duke Energy requires a deposit to initiate service? When we moved to Raleigh, Progress Energy required a sizable deposit to start up our account because we were from out of state.
