Complaint / review text: I did not initally choose to do business with EMC Mortgage. My refinance loan was originally with another lender who sold the mortgage to EMC. I am a senior citizen.in 2002 I refinanced my house in my name alone after a divorce. The appraisal for the loan shows the size of the property to be 1/4 acre.

May 02, 2006 · EMC has responded by putting the blame on the company they purchased my mortgage from. Not my problem if that company sold them my mortage as a 2yr prepayment penalty, I paid extra for a 1 yr prepayment penalty, have signed document, copy provided to EMC (which they should already have when they purchased my mortgage) I paid for a service that was not provided.
