Complaint / review text: I purchased a Gateway Media 601S MC Computer. And I was having issue with the sound. The sound stop working. So I decided to order services through Answers by Gateway Tech support since it was out of warranty. They now have two levels of services. I chose the one for $129.99 and that only gives you 90 minutes. O. K.

Complaint / review text: I purchased a computer from Gateway 11/2001. It was delivered promptly. It had no sound, so I immediately called tech support. Thye had me remove the computer back and do thier job via the phone. They said it was the speakers, and sent a new pair. This did not rectify the problem. I called again.

The computer worked fine until Feb, then it started freezing up and shutting down on it's own, I called into gateway 3 different times asking for help, they would suggest things to try and they even sent me out a battery, they were thinking it was a battery issue, or maybe it was reheating.

Do not purchase a Gateway laptop the computer is a lemon and Gateway does not give a dam about its customers. As far as HSN goes they also don't give a dam because they keep selling that piece of crapp even though they get complainsts about Gateway.
