    Actually Halifax took over the Bank of Scotland. The Royal Bank of Scotland took over Natwest. /pedantry I've been with BoS all my life, and to be honest they're pretty cack. The staff were always friendly enough and appeared to be helpful, but stuff never got done. I'm with Natwest now and the service is about a million times better.
