I have been reading all the complaints about Idearc Media and their SuperPages program. Let me say it is all true. This company is deceptive, it lies, it distorts, it does anything to get your money. I know, until recently I worked for them in their Chicago office selling advertising.

Idearc Media was supposed to advertise my company on the the first page in the Air Conditioning and Heating section of the Superpages on the pay per click which averaged about $ 200.00 per month, periodically I would check to see my advertisement, either my company's listing was non-existent or the listing was in la-la land on page 16 or further.

So far, i haven't been contacted by Idearc Media Verizon Yellow Pages regarding this except from billing department. Many other small companies I am sure have been taken advantage of by these practices and frankly we cant afford not to see a return on every advertising dollar.

Complaint / review text: I signed up for a pay-per-click service with Idearc media, a subsidiary or partner with VERIZON Yellow pages. The salesman NEIL SHIPMAN in Timonium Maryland insisted I use a credit card with automatic billing instead of my Company debit card.
