Lowcost-ripoff. As a previous regular customer of lowcostholidays, I was always happy with the price, quality and customer service of this company - our last holiday literally being a couple of weeks before they went bust in the UK, evidently relocating to Spain.

The lever of customer service by lowcostholidays.com staff is terribly low. I should have read more review on this company before I made my booking with them (noticed that most of reviews on TrustPilot are pretty negative). Lowcostholidays wrote me back by email in a matter of few hours, with good documenation of the booking of luggage. I also requested if it was possible to change hotels, and got a fast response again with suggestions for other possible hotels that satisfied my needs. Their responses written to me was made in a very nice, and friendly way.

My advice would be (if you haven't already done so) would be to write a letter ask for a copy of their complaints policy, submit all the evidence you have supporting how your holiday was spoilt, put a reasonable financial value on your experience and then give them a reasonable time limit to respond (detail this in your correspondence). This was a big-set up fraud by big boys but have taken few years to plan this horrible scam. I paid £400 for Hotel booking in ANTALYA but had to pay again as the hotel didnt receive any payment from Lowcostholidays. Scams are very much active in the TRAVEL Industry.

May 04, 2010 · Lowcostholidays.com was not an easy company to get hold of, this took me 6 days from 9am to 9pm with no joy, sitting in queues only to be cut off or hung up on after some 2 hour waits at times, the only good point was i was not stranded away from home.

I'm guessing that LowCost provided the holiday as a dynamic package putting together bought in components whilst acting as your agent as the standard phrase goes. That lets them off the hook for some problems, like the original complaint about the hotel.

Low cost holidays very good, have just used them for a holiday to Lanzarote couldn't fault it at all. Even had a probelm with the website in that I ended up being charged for the holiday twice with two bookings phoned the next day to get an answer machine, thought I'd have real probelms but they phoned back and had it all sorted money back in a couple of days.Brilliant service!
