Not a good percentage, but it is a majority. I'm wondering if the complaints are more about billing and customer service, rather than the unit itself.

There is the possibility that you’re trying to dial a number that requires payment of a high termination fee – and magicJack won’t complete those calls. You may find yourself getting a fast busy signal when trying to call some rural areas, and you won’t be able to complete any call into a service that provides free conference calls.

Yes, BasicTalk does cost more, but "you get what you pay for." I can not recommend MajicJack at this time. Cost-wise, it's a FANTASTIC bargain. $35 for the first YEAR.
