The brownish water you see in Charlotte Harbor is caused by the natural decay of plants all along the fresh water rivers (Myakka and Peace) that feed the harbor. Nothing else. Think of it like iced tea. It's harmless and poses no health risks and has no connection whatsoever with red tide.
