I've never taken a trip with OAT (although I tried, but that is another story). But have done many with RoadScholar. The difference in RS and other tour companies that I have used is that RoadScholars are educational tours while the others were not.

DO NOT travel with Overseas Adventure Travel. We paid in full for a trip to India and found out that they still plan to fly us via Air India after FAA has downgraded the airline due to safety concerns. OAT cares more about their bottom line than the safety of their customers.

The trip was a disaster from start to finish. One of our travel companions became seriously ill and OAT did nothing to assist them. They were left behind and had to make their own arrangements for healthcare and flights home. Thank goodness for the American embassy!
