My 2002 Oldsmobile Alero has a problem with the passlock security system which causes it to not start. This has been a recurring problem that comes up without warning. I have spent several hundred dollars having parts replaced before doing an online search and realizing that this is a manufacturer defect with the security system.

Description of the Complaint: 2000 oldsmobile alero engine dies. My car, up to date with all recalls, has numerous issues still with driving and dying. When you start the car, sometimes it has a high idle- 1500 to 2200 rpm. When you shift it into drive, it dies. Sometimes you can be driving and the car just shuts off.
