Aug 11, 2011 · A little worried about the whole situation, I called OPM and asked them if I in fact had a pending investigation and if this woman was a real investigator. The security office told me she was, and that the meeting was acutally for a complaint and not an investigation.

Based on what I have read, a lot of retired agents take these positions, but does it work the other way as well? Any OPM BI's make the jump to OPM OIG or other 1811 jobs? Also, I have read reports on the workload and how there have been complaints about having to use weekends/non-paid overtime, etc to have enough time to clear your cases.

Jun 15, 2009 · I'm a background investigator with OPM and you sir need to check yourself. How dare you be so narrow minded. It is not a conspiracy against you. Some investigations simply take longer. From your post in this forum I would question your professionalism and patience. Go get another job if your frustrated, but quit your whining.
