The Delivery Suite at the RVI is situated within the Maternity Unit on Level Four of the Leazes Wing. The RVI maternity unit staff were professional, friendly and helpful. They clearly explained any procedures relating to my cesarean section and helped me feel relaxed and well cared for. I would highly recommend the RVI maternity unit to any woman when making a choice about where to give birth.

Mar 22, 2016 · I've not had a child there but am from Newcastle and my sis has had high risk births there and I know that at the RVI is a lovely hospital. It's more or less brand new and really snazzy. I know that doesn't mean that much but so much money has been put into it -especially the baby and maternity units. There's shops and even a cinema (I think? Lol).

May 16, 2010 · Sorry but I totally disagree about the RVI - It is like a conveyor belt of mums and babies, the midwives are over worked and most of them don't have time to care anymore and they just want you in at the last minute (which can result in being sent home numerous times and also in being VERY far along when you do get to stay in) and out as soon as they can get rid of you.
