May 12, 2014 · Attorney for Consumer's Clearing House Sweepstakes called to report I had won the second prize for $500,000 but they need to collect the taxes before issuing the check. The taxes are $65,000 but they will cover all but $2,000 and I will need to wire them the $2,000 which is a deposit to show I will pay the $65,000 when I file my taxes.

Jan 19, 2012 · I had received several calls from EASYTEL - ATLANTA and finally answered one. I was told that I had won 2nd place in the Consumers Clearing House sweepstakes ($500.000). While on the phone listening to them, I looked online and verified it was a scam. So I "played" along for a bit. They switched me over to their attorney Adam Lewinsky.

It's really, really, really hard. PCH runs a variety of big creative presentation sweepstakes that give away millions of dollars every year. Those prizes are fairly awarded as advertised.
