City of Boston's Hackney Inspectors will follow up, I did this in Feb, driver got sanctioned (possibly suspended). sometimes it's hard to remember in the heat of the moment, but ALWAYS, take down the Medallion of the cab, it's displayed multiple places on the body and inside the car (also on those video monitor things) and the Driver Number (which is usually harder to see)
