Apr 08, 2014 · As you all know the Tuff Torq K46 transaxle has problems. I have read most of the threads on this subject. Last winter after reading these threads I bought a new Tuff Torq transaxle for $750. Darn thing lasted 4 months. No, I do not have any hills and I mow 2 acres.

May 08, 2016 · Tuff Torq may have standards and specs for the base K72 but when placed into service in a larger machine often things change. You would be best to obtain and follow tha manual for your specific machine and its transaxle.

Mar 15, 2015 · That has a Tuff Torq K72 hydro trans,and Tuff Torq aren't noted for lasting very long. Mine has 295 hrs,and it's JUNK. Replacement cost= $400/used,OR $1800-$2400 new. Yours should have 2 wobble-plate pumps,as does the K62. The K62 has a filter in the pump pan Some of the K72's had an external filter,but other ones didn't.

Deere has been trying to cut costs on the new lawn tractors by using the feeble light weight K46 in all 100,200 , the 300 and 304. Apr 05, 2009 · Boyd, That is odd, because the transmissions in the L110 is half the transmission that the 266 toro used. But, if htat is what they told you, they know more about their product than I do, but it just seems odd they would tell you that when the L110 is a light lawn tractor and the 266 is a heavier Lawn & Garden tractor you can put a blade and a tiller on.
