Since the bulk of the contract remains and it sounds like you did not provide adequate notice of cancellation, I would say that based on these facts the Unifirst Corp. has a better chance. This being said, if your contract does not state that notice of cancellation is necessary, things would be different.
**DEMAND A MONTH TO MONTH CONTRACT. No small business does this. I have not heard from anyone who has successfully done this yet, but have heard a rumor that the large companies who use Unifirst do NOT get the same contract that small businesses do.

Unifirst did nothing to correct the situation and instead, sued me for a contract for services that I never received. I would never hire this company again and it is my opinion that they created these contracts to misrepresent what services they will provide and sue you when you want to get out of the contract.

May 10, 2010 · UniFirst traps customers in a 5 year contract that automatically renews, they make it hard to quit, making the customers send a certified letter 60 days in advance of renewal date to cancel. Basically they make you feel bad for upholding these cruel policies, among many other things. It's a horrible working enviroment.4/5
