Nov 03, 2012 · vanquis complaint Credit Cards. Vanquis are real monkeys! I've just had to sort a problem from when I opened my card where they failed to set up at direct debit though I requested it hence going over my limit, late payments and set me up with their version of PPI.

Vanquis's ROP is a VERY expensive sort of insurance because it’s uneccessary. Interest can be frozen on your credit card if you are in difficulty even if you don’t have the ROP. So ask for a refund as this wasn’t explained to you.

Vanquis is the best! Vanquis has by far been the best credit card provider for me. They are extremely helpful when called up and offer customer service like no other. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has today imposed a fine of £1,976,000 on credit card lender, Vanquis, for failing to disclose the full price of an add-on product, called Repayment Option Plan (ROP). The firm will also repay an estimated £168,781,000 in compensation which constitutes the amount of the charges not disclosed to customers when they bought the ROP.
