Wells Fargo Mortgage Company, its officers and employers are incompetent. Why? Wells Fargo requires flood insurance to match your home owners insurance (fire & theft) up to $250.000. However they state in their own documents, that flood insurance needs to be sufficient for replacement cost coverage.

I recently noticed that Wells Fargo Mortgage co, took almost 500 dollars from my escrow account. I called and ask about it and it was for flood insurance. I told them that I already have flood insurance, which is 250,000 coverage and I only owe 97,000. They said they would review my records if I would fax a copy of my policy to them, which I did.
