The 2005 Altima ser was a very limited model of Altima but oem parts should be available until at least a majority of them are off the road when the relate to safety. Nissan seems to get away with out recalls for safety recalls, high frequency issues, service guaging and from what I hear known lemon problems.

Have a 2017 Nissan Altima SR and at 48,000 the CVT transmission failed. This happened early in December 2018. Dealer we bought the car from Napleton Nissan, sold their Nissan dealership to another dealer Primetime Nissan and that dealer filed for bankruptcy after a couple of months and is not authorized by Nissan for warranty repairs.

An Alright Car — This is a pretty good car, however, I've had a lot of engine problems when it came to camshaft and crankshaft position sensors.
