99% of dentists don't know s.it about dentures-they take an impression-send it to a lab who may or may now have a clue-and 'hope for the best' if you're not happy with the denture-instead of trying to help (because they don't know how) they'll tell you IT LOOKS GREAT-and try to make you think you're crazy-i worked for a dental lab for 2 yrs. and the lab owner made crappy dentures.
