Alltel hasn't been customer friendly. They got too big for their britches and couldn't keep up. They pump out contracts and new phones and entice customers with new gadget phones through cleaver marketing...but just to renew your contract another two years.

Unfortunately they had received no return phone call from Alltel to correct the problem. The customer service representative stated that they should mail the damaged phone into Alltel’s customer service department and that they would then receive a replacement phone in the mail for free.

Alltel is a BIG scam company and I have found MANY complaints online and new ones documented every time I check. This has now gone too far as my bill is up to $150 with interest reoccurring monthly. Oct 30, 2010 · Alltel's policy is to only renew contracts for phone discounts. Also, the contact info for the corporate office that everyone claims is impossible to find is listed on the website under "contact us". The people with attention spans too short to pay attention to what they are buying are usually the same people that miss this contact info on the web. go figure.

I signed a contract with Alltel for my Son and Daughter-in-law to have cell phone service with Alltel several years ago. The problems started when Alltel started over charging on their statements. I also am a alltel customer and noticed and extra $30 charge on my bill. Its not the customers fault that verizon doesn't cover the towers that I signed the original contract for.(national plan) To me that is a breach of contract.

Now as for the complaint it is not really a valid complaint as it is the customers duty to read through any paper work they are signing. Since I work for a Alltel third party dealer i know that its would have had to say 24 months on the top right next to where it says contract term.
