Hi everyone, I'd like to share my experience with Amoma, which was basically the worst experience I ever had with any booking site. I've been traveling for some years now, and decided that I should try other booking service because of a bargain and quite big price difference.

Countless people found, only upon showing up at their hotel, that they had no record of any reservation. When they called Amoma, a rep offered two options — a refund or a new reservation at a lesser hotel farther away for the same money.

Needless to say, I will not be using this service again. I also plan to file complaints with the AG offices in Texas and my home state. In their FAQ, Amoma states that if you call the hotel, they may not have your reservation because they don't send the information until just before your arrival. Don't believe them.

Amoma don't deal directly with most hotels, for instance, they source rooms from bedbanks and wholesalers. And the more links there are in a chain, the more things can go wrong. There is also the possibility that the hotel is not being honest with you. The advice about persevering with trying to contact Amoma is very good.
