Lipitor was damaging my liver and I also was experiencing trouble with my kidneys. Though I didn't realized it then, Lipitor was the culprit of my aches and weakness, and was not effective in lowering my cholesterol much (only to 308 after taking Lipitor for more than two years.) I am not taking Lipitor anymore and I don't feel tired and exhausted.

I started atorvastatin 40 mg in August 2015 to further lower LDL (80) because of a very high calcium score (over 1500) for my right coronary artery. I also changed my diet and began a more rigorous exercise program, but my LDL only went down to 72 in 4 months.

I have been put on atorvastatin 20 mg by my doctor for lowering my cholesterol, but I must say I feel very well on them with no side effects.I have been reading the reviews and surprised with most of them being bad. 55 Yr old male, Dr had put me on Atorvastatin while visiting for a different condition. Upon reviewing my lab results from several months earlier, he decided to start me on 20 MG once daily. I was also under the direction of my Nephrologist to get new lab work for an upcoming appt. So I filled the prescription, and got the lab work done.

Nov 21, 2019 · I had my Atorvastatin prescription refilled on 11/16/2019 and was given the tablets in the manufacturers' container. I discovered that this medication is manufactured in India so I looked up the company. Mar 27, 2016 · After reading posts on this site, as well as others, I see that other individuals have had similar complaints with conditions improved upon stopping statin use. Therefore, I called my cardiologist’s office and was advised to stop using Atorvastatin for 2 weeks and, if conditions improved, to resume Atorvastatin at reduced dose (20 MG).
