Authors, if you have a book to publish, please, Please, PLEASE do NOT spend thousands and thousands of dollars with a firm that seems far more concerned about emptying your wallet than they are about selling your book. Balboa Press offers excellent PR, but offers very little in the way of quality control over their work. In the self-publishing world, where the author has to do EVERYTHING, I would expect them to follow instructions that I HAVE PAID FOR IN FULL. Production occurs in the Philippines, and so are the individuals with whom you would interface.

I could also only select one keyword and not keywords as they claimed in their ad. I had to ask my editor to revise it in order to have a good press release. He did a marvelous job, but I had to pay him too on top of the $1,000 sum that I paid Balboa Press.1.4/5(1)
