Don't waste your money ( a lot of money)on Crizal if you are considering it for the smudge resistance. That only lasted only a couple months. When I went back to the optician to complain because I cannot keep them clean at all (ALWAYS smeary) and to get another set of lens they said that nothing could be wrong because Crizal was not a coating but actually impregnated into the lens....What a lie.

Jun 29, 2006 · In 1 weeks time we had 2 pairs of Crizal Alize craze. The first pair crazed when he was wearing them while using a grill. The second pair crazed when an optician warmed the frame in a hot air frame warmer. She told me the lenses crazed before her eyes. Now I know that too much heat isn't good for ar lenses, but we have never had a problem before or with regular Crizal.
