There was a rash of complaints filed in 2003 in one forum from merchants complaining that e-onlinedata quoted that it had no gateway fees and failed to mention that Authorize.net would charge a gateway fee. This company is completely unethical. We signed up for their merchant services about a year ago. This spring our sales spiked and they said we exceeded our pre-approved maximum. They then proceed to take a 20% (!!!) reserve for every transaction. So for every transaction, they keep 20%. And they kept it for 4 months while we were being evaluated.

This is strange because e-onlinedata’s website shows a symbol of being accredited with the BBB. Perhaps it is referring to its parent company, PowerPay, which has an A+ rating and is accredited.3/5

We’ve caught them in a lie and have this documented via the fax and email transmissions with the customer service team. We have filed complaints with the BBB, US Chamber, FTC and are filing a lawsuit.4.5/5

PowerPay came into business in 2003. Even though they have 48,000 merchants’ clients but still, on BBB there are very less number of complaints against them, which, honestly speaking is very unusual for a company of this size.
