One cat tried it for all of maybe 3 seconds and has not been back since. ... We tried to donate them to our local VET but they said to just throw them away because of complaints about of the boards pulling out cats nails.

Dec 26, 2009 · I was interested in it so I did a little research and it seems to me like Emery Cat was the idea of a naive, new cat owner. Filing nails down instead of clipping them is a better decision, and it's not as dangerous or harmful, however using a dremel and your cat clawing on an 'emery board' scratcher is totally different... It's not the same thing.
