Jul 12, 2018 · The installer informed us, the reason the new modem Gen 5 speed was slow speed was the gorgeous Chinese pistachio tree limb was blocking the signal. Long story short my tree was hacked down, to my dismay due to over-enthusiastic tree trimmer, the slow service remains today as it has been since installed less than 2 months ago.

If you get that kind of pattern where morning speed tests meet advertised speeds and evening speeds tests are extremely slow, then it is my view there is nothing wrong with your equipment. Unless of course the dish itself, needs sunlight to produce the promised speeds... :) Ask any neighbors who have HughesNet to run those speed tests as well.
