I dispense hundreds of bottles of metacam each year. The most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhoea which resolves when the metacam is stopped when the try other NSAIDs. The main serious side effect is the risk of kidney failure in dogs I have only seen one case in 17 years and I only look test at risk case regularly.
